A BRAZILIAN 49ERS TWITTER FAN ACCOUNT


As a huge niner fan, during the 2022 NFL season, I produced some fan content for the Santa Clara's 5x Superbowl champion via twitter. This was a hobby, a laboratory for creativity, visual techniques and graphic design exploration. The profile no longer exists, but the graphic design and visual identity was quite fun and worth sharing with. Lets go Niners!






VISUAL IDENTITY


Football is gritty. Dynamic. Surprising. There is clear physical violence, but also an implicit beauty that makes it unique. That's what the San Francisco 49ers were like in the 1990s. The brutality of dominant defenses, coupled with the well-oiled machine that was the offense. Brutally delicate.

These are the attributes of this visual identity. A responsive logo, with infinite variations, just like Bill Walsh's playbook. Aggressive, impactful colors and textures just like Ronnie Lott's tackles. Ambitious visuals just like Steve Young's scrambles. Memorable as the duo Montana-Rice.

Inspired by the nickname received by the HoF quarterbacks of that period, I sought to unite the aggressiveness of sports with the subtlety of art, exploring this duality in colors, textures and typography.








CONTENT


Based on a mixture of entertainment, weekly coverage and opinion, several materials were produced. Each weekly column had its own sub-logo, and the contents followed the same aesthetic, receiving variations according to the nature of the information and/or occasion.
